Public Health is reporting another COVID death – a person in their sixties here in the Saint John region. That is the second COVID related death in the region this week. With this latest death – the provincial COVID death toll is now 34 and the Public Health dashboard is now showing 1 non-COVID related death.

Nineteen new cases of COVID have been confirmed in the province since yesterday. Eleven cases are in the Edmundston region with 9 of those cases at a Grand Falls special care home. All cases in that region are connected to previously confirmed cases. Three new cases have been confirmed here in the Saint John region – all are related to travel outside of the province. There are 2 new cases in the Fredericton River Valley region with one travel related while the other is under investigation. In the Moncton region there are 2 cases which is travel related including one temporary foreign worker and in the Bathurst region there is also 1 new case which is travel related.

Public Health reports 146 active cases in the province including 12 in the Saint John region. Fifteen people are in hospital including 5 in intensive care.
