Another jump in COVID numbers in the past 24-hours – with all but one of the cases in two provincial hotspots. Public Health is reporting 20-new cases – 10 in the Moncton area – 9 in the Edmundston region currently in LOCKDOWN – and one in the Miramichi region. All are in self-isolation and the cases are under investigation.

There are now 334-active cases in the province – 144 in the Edmundston region – 90 in the Moncton region – 36 here in the Saint John region – 36 in the Fredericton River Valley region – 19 in the Campbellton region – 7 in the Bathurst zone – and two in the Miramichi region. The Saint John – Moncton – and Fredericton River Valley regions remain in the RED Level while the northeast portion of the province is in the Orange Level. Five people are in hospital – two of them listed in intensive care today.

There have been 13-COVID related deaths in the province since the pandemic was declared last March.
