Sean Casey is out of a council job – Casey has been bounced from Common Council after missing four consecutive meetings dating back to last month without consent of council.
The resolution to declare Casey’s Ward 2 seat vacant was approved by Common Council last night.
Council made the move based on Section 34(1)(g) of the Municipalities Act. The move comes with just over two months before the May municipal election. Because of the short time frame until the May vote – a by-election won’t be held to fill the vacancy.
