As we enter day 4 in the Orange Level with its heightened restrictions – one of the new restrictions require bars and restaurants to ask for identification. Premier Blaine Higgs says the reason is simple – some have been less than honest.
Higgs says enforcement measures will continue in the Saint John and Moncton regions – and – around the province. Over the weekend – more than 30 fines were handed to people mostly for failing to wear a mask while a number of compliance orders were issued to businesses. The Premier says officers will be following up to make sure the compliance orders have been addressed. Meantime – Higgs says there will be enhanced monitoring at border points with the U-S – and – monitoring will continue at the Quebec border.
