The latest numbers from Public Health show we are close to having half of the population of New Brunswick vaccinated with at least one dose of COVID vaccine. As of yesterday – we were sitting at 48.9%. Earlier this week – Chief Medical Officer of Health – Dr Jennifer Russell – said she expected we would hit the 50% mark by the end of the week.
As of Tuesday – anyone over the age of 18 is now eligible to receive a COVID vaccination along with children between 12 and 15 years of age with complex or chronic medical conditions.
And as of yesterday – the numbers show 33,924 people have received both doses of COVID vaccines. Russell has said we are on track to have all New Brunswickers with at least one dose of the vaccine by July 01st and all with a second dose by September.
