Hard pressed city finances are getting a 3-million dollar boost. The city has received word it will receive 3.3-million dollars as part of the COVID-19 impact reimbursement agreement through an agreement between the provincial and federal governments.
In a release – the city says the money will be placed in the operating reserve to cover COVID related costs. Mayor Don Darling calls it “great news.”
At last report – expenses for COVID related costs were in the 5-million dollar range.
