Thanks to the wet weather overnight into today – the Burning Ban issued for most of the province has been lifted. However – grass fires are not permitted in what is termed as “Category 1” illustrated on the map.
Grass fires require permits – written burn plans – and pre-inspection by a Forest Service officer. If you are in a municipality – refer to your municipal by-laws or call your local fire department.
