After a quiet day yesterday – the number of new cases of COVID is on the upswing once again. Public Health is reporting 14 new cases today. Two are in the Moncton region and both are contacts of previously confirmed cases.

There are 8 new cases in the Fredericton region – five are contacts of previously confirmed cases – one is travel related – and two are under investigation. There are 3 new cases in the Bathurst region and all are travel related. And there is one new case in the Miramichi region and it is travel related as well.

Public Health reports 8 people have recovered since yesterday and the number of active cases is now 128 including 18 here in the Saint John region. Eight people are in hospital – 7 here in New Brunswick including 3 in intensive care while one patient is in hospital in intensive care out of province. The COVID related death toll remains 43.
