A fourth case of the U-K variant of COVID has been confirmed in the province. Public Health says a sample sent to the National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg earlier this month has come back positive as a COVID-19 U-K variant.
The case is related to international travel and was previously reported in the Moncton region. The person has been self isolating since the original diagnosis and will continue to do so. The other three cases of U-K variant were confirmed a week ago here in the Saint John region and the Miramichi zone. Two of those cases were related to international travel while the other involved travel within Canada.
