COVID-19 has claimed the life of another New Brunswicker. The latest victim is a person who was over 90 and a resident of a special care home in Grand Falls. The death brings to 38 the number of COVID deaths in the province.

Public Health is also reporting 15 new cases today including 3 in the Saint John region. One case is under investigation – another is a contact of a previously confirmed case while the third is travel related.

There are 5 cases in the Fredericton River Valley region – three of those cases are contacts of previously confirmed cases while the other 2 are travel related. There are 2 cases in the Edmundston region today – all are contacts of a previously confirmed case and are linked to the outbreak at a special care home in Grand Falls.

There is 1 case in the Moncton region and that is a contact of a previously confirmed case while there are 2 new cases in the Bathurst region with both travel related.

Public Health reports 8 people have recovered since yesterday and there are now 142 active cases in the province including 21 in the Saint John region. Six people are in hospital with 2 in intensive care.
