A 71-year old city man has been sentenced to one year in jail and two years probation after pleading guilty to possession of images of child sexual abuse. Brian Marshall has been added to the National Sex Offender Registry for 20 years and will have to submit a D-N-A sample. When he is released – he will have to follow conditions set by the court including no contact with children.
Marshall was arrested in October of 2019 after police used a search warrant at Marshall’s home. They seized several electronic devices. The investigation began in February 2019 as a result of information received from the RCMP’s National Child Exploitation Crime Centre.
