Public Health confirms 10 new cases of COVID today – six are in the Moncton region and all of those are contacts of previously confirmed cases. There are 4 new cases in the Fredericton region with 3 contacts of a previously confirmed case while one is related to travel and that person is out of province.
Public Health also reports 10 people have been listed as recovered since yesterday and the number of active cases is 134 including 17 here in the Saint John region. Six people are in hospital – 5 in New Brunswick including one in intensive care while one is intensive care out of province. Forty-three COVID related deaths have been recorded since the beginning of the pandemic 15 months ago.
