A late night fire has destroyed a truck – but – quick work by Saint John fire fighters prevented the situation from becoming much worse.
The call came in around midnight and as fire crews arrived at Saint John Spring Works on Thorne Avenue – they found a big rig in flames next to the building. Fire fighters quickly knocked down the flames before the fire could spread to the building.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
