Public Health reports 10 new cases of COVID confirmed in the province today. Two of the cases are here in the Saint John region with both contacts of previously confirmed cases. One is a person under 19 while the other is an individual in their sixties.
There are 2 new cases in the Moncton region – one is a contact of a previously confirmed case while the other is under investigation. In the Fredericton River Valley region – there are 2 new cases – both are contacts of previously confirmed cases. There are 3 new cases in the Edmundston region – again all are contacts of previously confirmed cases – and there is one new case in the Bathurst region which is related to travel outside of the province.
Public Health reports a total of 118 active cases today including 16 in our region. Fourteen people are listed as recovered since yesterday while four people are in hospital with 2 of those in intensive care. The COVID related death toll remains at 36.
