It’s going to be a green Christmas for the Saint John region courtesy of a storm system headed our way from the central part of the. country. Environment Canada says temperatures will moderate with periods of rain beginning overnight tonight and continue through Christmas Day and into Saturday. The winds will pick up with gusts up to 60km/h tomorrow.

We could tie or break a high temperature record for Christmas Day – our high tomorrow is forecast to be 13. The warmest temperature recorded on Christmas Day since 1947 is 12.8 set in 2004. And for comparison – the average high for the month of December is minus-1.
