The latest report on confirmed COVID cases in the province contains a bit of good news for the three regions in the Orange Level. Public health reports one case each in the Saint John – Moncton – and Fredericton Central regions. Those regions have been in the Orange Level since last month after sudden spikes in the number of people self-isolating and increase in numbers of confirmed cases.
Here in Saint John – the one new case is a person who is the age category of 19 and under – the same as the case in the Fredericton region. The new case in Moncton is a person in their fifties.
There are three other confirmed cases today – one person in their forties in the Edmundston region while the other two are in the Bathurst region – one in their fifties and one in their sixties. All are self-isolating and the cases are under investigation.
As of today – we have a total of 119-active cases of COVID around the province with no one in hospital. There have been 7-deaths related to COVID since the pandemic was declared in March.
