Chief Medical Officer of Health – Dr Jennifer Russell – says there are 7 new confirmed cases of COVID in the province since yesterday. Five of the cases are in the Edmundston region while the Fredericton River Valley and Moncton regions have one case each.
Russell says all cases are travel related or contacts of existing cases. There are 48 active cases in the province including two here in the Saint John region. One person is in hospital. New Brunswick has recorded 30 COVID related deaths since the pandemic was declared just over a year ago.
