The final tally of votes for the two candidates for the Saint John – Rothesay Conservative nomination won’t be released. Former Saint John mayor Mel Norton was declared the winner Saturday evening after an online and drive through voting process last week. Faytene Grasseschi was the other candidate in the running.

Riding president – Jake Stackhouse – tells newsysj.ca both candidates agreed not to release the vote counts. Stackhouse says 88-percent of registered party members voted – he calls it an “unprecedented turnout” for the federal riding association.
