One Suburban Mayor In By Acclamation – Mayoral Contests In Two Other Suburban Communities

There won’t be an election for Mayor in Grand Bay-Westfield. The only candidate to file papers by the close of nominations yesterday afternoon was Brittany Merrifield who will take over the top spot from long time Mayor Grace Losier who did not re-offer. Nine candidates are seeking the 7 council seats up for grabs in the community.

In Rothesay – incumbent Mayor Nancy Grant is being challenged by Elizabeth Kramer while 10 people are vying for the 7 council seats.

And in Quispamsis – incumbent Gary Clark is being challenged by Deputy Mayor Libby O’Hara while 11 candidates are seeking the 7 council seats.
