Public Health has confirmed 9 new cases of COVID today which includes one travel related case isolating out of province. Five cases are in the Fredericton region with 4 contacts of a previously confirmed case while the other is the travel related case of a New Brunswicker who is out of province.
Three cases are in the Moncton region with two contacts of previously confirmed cases and the other is travel related. There is also one new case in the Bathurst region which is under investigation.
Public Health says 10 people have recovered since yesterday and the number of active cases is 137 including 15 in the Saint John region. Eight people are in hospital – 6 here in New Brunswick including 2 in intensive care while 2 are in out of province hospitals including one in intensive care. The COVID death toll remains at 43.
