Good news for the port and local economy – a third container line will be calling on Saint John beginning in the New Year.
Hapag Lloyd is a global shipping line with offices in 129-countries. Today’s announcement is tied with resumption of CP Rail service into Saint John earlier this year.
Some of Hapag Lloyd’s ships were diverted to our port in August during a waterfront strike in Montreal.
The port is currently serviced by MSC and CMA-CGM container lines.
