Health Minister Dorothy Shephard says a new 5-year Mental Health and Addiction plan should be unveiled next week. Shephard says it will include a number of key areas including access and expanding the mobile mental health teams in partnership with police forces around the province.
The Minister says a pilot program providing walk-in same day services in Campbellton has proven successful and will be the basis for similar clinics around the province.
And Shephard says it will be important to continue to respond and revise the plan as required – not – just roll it out and be done with it.
