A new mixed market multi-unit residential development is being proposed for the former Convent/CYO property at the corner of Cliff and Waterloo Streets.

“Steepleview” would have between 42 and 56 apartments split evenly between affordable and market rental units. The development would include a large community room – an early childhood learning centre – and – possibly underground parking.

The Steepleview Board of Directors is the developer in partnership with the Diocese of Saint John which provided the land and Council 937 of the Knights of Columbus which is making a substantial financial commitment in a bid to bring new life to the Waterloo Village neighbourhood. Architect Bob Boyce is working on the final drawings and plans for the development. Once the plans are completed – the Board will apply to the City to begin the rezoning process.
