Public Health says the three cases in the Fredericton region are travel related. The case in the Edmundston region is a contact of a known case and was already self-isolating.

The number of active cases in the province stands at 48 – 9 of them here in the Saint John region. Three people are in hospital – one of them in intensive care. Eight COVID related deaths have been reported since the pandemic was declared in mid-March.

The Edmundson region remains in the Orange Level of restrictions following an outbreak of the COVID virus at the local hospital.
