Four new cases of COVID in the province to report today – three in the Fredericton Central region and one in the Edmundston area. Public Health says the three cases in the Fredericton region are travel related. The case in the Edmundston region is a contact of a known case and was already self-isolating.

The number of active cases in the province stands at 48 – 9 of them here in the Saint John region. Three people are in hospital – one of them in intensive care. Eight COVID related deaths have been reported since the pandemic was declared in mid-March.

The Edmundson region remains in the Orange Level of restrictions following an outbreak of the COVID virus at the local hospital.
