Public Health says the positive case of COVID at Moncton High School confirmed on Sunday is now presumed to be the U-K variant. Contact tracing and testing of close contacts of the case are continuing.
Meantime – the school has moved to distance learning for today – tomorrow – and Thursday to allow for the contact tracing and testing as well as cleaning and sanitizing. The school will remain closed on Friday due to the vaccination clinics for high school staff on that day.
A sample of the presumed case has been sent to the national lab in Winnipeg for confirmation.
