The manhunt continues for 24-year old Janson Baker wanted in connection with a shooting at Riverview High School late yesterday afternoon. That shooting sent one person to hospital with what police describe as “non-life threatening” injuries.
Moncton RCMP now say the weapon used in the shooting was not a BB gun as first reported – however – they won’t say what type of gun was used. They also say a 33-year old Riverview man was questioned overnight in connection with the incident then released.
RCMP issued two electronic alerts late last night and early this morning warning Baker has “firearms with intent to use” them. His car was located in Amherst – Nova Scotia around 8 this morning but there was no sign of Baker. Amherst Police and Nova Scotia RCMP are working with New Brunswick RCMP on the case.
