One man is in custody and facing charges following a crash on the Harbour Bridge around noon time today. In a release – Saint John Police say they received a call about a woman “in distress in the uptown area.” When officers arrived – a man in the vehicle drove off and crashed a short time later on the bridge. The crash forced the closure of the bridge in both directions for about 2 hours.
Police say as part of their investigation they determined the vehicle involved was stolen. And they want to speak to the woman who originally alerted police to the issue in the uptown and are asking her to call 506-648-3333.
No one was seriously injured in the incident.
