Interim Liberal Leader Roger Melanson

Interim Liberal Leader Roger Melanson is crying foul over the timing of consultations on healthcare reform.

Melanson says Premier Blaine Higgs and Health Minister Dorothy Shephard chose “the arbitrary deadline of March 2021 to wrap up the consultations. Minister Shephard is attempting to manage a pandemic while simultaneously juggling their rushed healthcare reform consultations.”

Melanson also says it’s understandable the public is skeptical about this process. He says the priority at the moment is “handling the pandemic and keeping New Brunswickers safe.”
