Common Council has approved third and final reading of a bylaw covering fees for various services provided by the fire department.
The bylaw includes fees for non-residents drivers involved in collisions to which the fire department responds – false fire alarm calls from the same address – calls to backyard fires – and so called thrill seeking activities.
The new fees are designed to recover costs involved as the department deals with a budget cut.
