An Arctic outflow has settled in over our region bringing a sudden dose of Winter reality in the final days of Fall. Temperatures with the wind chill factored in are between minus 25 and minus 30. The Environment Canada forecast isn’t showing much relief in the next 24-hours. It will be sunny but our day time high will struggle to minus 11 and with a gusty northwest wind it will feel like minus 19.
Clouds begin to move in overnight with a feels like temperature in the minus 20 range and tomorrow we could receive up to 4-cms of snow with temperatures feeling in the minus 13 to minus 20 range.
The good news is temperatures are forecast to begin to moderating by Friday and by Sunday our highs will be on the plus side of the freezing mark.
