RCMP Update at 5:55am – the search is continuing in the greater Moncton area for Baker. Car has NB plate believed to be JUN 296.
The RCMP are looking for a 24-year old man in connection with a shooting late yesterday afternoon at Riverview High School that sent a teacher to hospital with “non-life threatening injuries.” Police say Janson Bryan Baker is believed to be carrying firearms and plans to use them.
He is five feet – ten inches tall and weighs 145-pounds. He is believed to be driving a black 2020 Hyundai Elantra with black tinted windows. If you spot him – police are warning you not to approach him and call RCMP or 9-1-1 immediately.
The search is centred in the greater Moncton area and the Mounties are asking people not to report police locations or positions on social media. Two emergency alert messages reaching mobile phones in the southern part of the province have been issued as well as emergency alerts on broadcast outlets.
