The daily COVID case count shows two new confirmed cases – both in the Fredericton Central area. Public Health says the two are in their sixties. They are self-isolating and the cases are under investigation.
The number of active cases has dropped to 65 today with three people in hospital – two of them in intensive care units. Eight people in the province have died of COVID complications since the pandemic was declared in March.
The Edmundston zone remains in the Orange Level as efforts continue to contain an outbreak in the local hospital in the northwestern NB city.
